Informative Graphics Releases All New Brava! (TM) 4.0 View, Markup and Collaboration Software

Vanguard Product Marked by Significant Increases in Performance and Fidelity

PHOENIX, Arizona - April 1, 2003 - Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in Web publishing and collaboration technology, announced the release of its all-new Brava 4.0 Java-based view and markup software. With breakthroughs in speed and fidelity, Brava 4.0 delivers better overall performance, accuracy, and boasts over 25 new significant features, as well as a more elegant user interface.

Brava maintains its industry-preferred architecture that greatly minimizes server processing per user session, resulting in a cost-effective solution that scales very well. Brava's robustness and scalability is proven by the fact that it dominates the application service provider (ASP) project management and collaboration market.

The new 4.0 version has now been migrated to Java 2 for better security and functional capability. The applet client remains thin (just 554K) and can be browser-served or optionally installed. Brava 4.0 is first IGC product based on its new viewing kernel, which is designed to deliver accurate fidelity for documents, PDF files, images and drawings (including ERA design content). The re-engineered subsystem is algorithmically optimized to handle documents with large page counts, as well as geometry-packed CAD drawings - performing instant zooms and pans, while improving support for all types of raster images, including 24 bit.

"Brava 4.0 represents the next generation of viewing technology," said Gary Heath, CEO at IGC. "We have taken the depth of over 15 years of experience in building viewing software, and built a best-in-class technology. The innovation and quality behind Brava 4.0 is second to none." Mr. Heath added, "We have a solid reputation for building products that are easy to use, and the new user interface in Brava 4.0 further extends our leadership in delivering corporate content downstream to a wide class of users."

Brava 4.0's new features include the Magnifier view tool for real-time eyeglass views on large drawings, full-text searching within documents and drawings, CAD line weight support, snap-to-drawing geometry for accurate measuring, display of attribute data, animated displays, and significant enhancements to printing. The software runs on Windows NT Version 4, 2000, or XP servers. Supported Web browsers include Internet Explorer 5.x and higher or Netscape 6.x and higher.

Brava 4.0 includes the addition of new programming triggers & hooks designed for non-java developers, making it easier to integrate Brava into existing intranet/extranet, vaulting, or collaboration systems. IGC currently supports Brava integrations to major ECM/PDM companies like Documentum, Open Text, Hummingbird and MatrixOne. Additional Brava integrations are supported by global third party integrators and partners.
