New Troubleshooting Tool for Injection Molders
South Bend, IN - SYSCON-PlantStar announces a new interactive tool to put the valuable skills of an experienced molding technician on your plant floor on a 24/7 basis. This new module will assist supervisors, operators, and set-up personnel in identifying and correcting the most common and costly reasons for injection molded part defects.
Hiring and retaining experienced technicians to troubleshoot and keep machines making good parts around the clock is a major problem. To help processors find a solution to this problem, PlantStar has collaborated with Paulson Training Inc. - the proven leader in plastics process education, to develop a special troubleshooting tool for use with PlantStar's family of real-time monitoring solutions.
Tech Connect is designed from the ground up to remove the "black art" from troubleshooting or setting up a molding machine. An easy-to-use touch screen menu is utilized to guide the user through a series of short video clips that show both the causes of the problem and how to solve it. With the help of Tech Connect "expert" advice, even a novice can quickly zero in and solve difficult molding problems.
For each type of defect, the user can select:
o An example of the problem to make sure it has been correctly identified.
o A short video explaining the causes of that type of defect in the plastics process.
o The steps needed to correct the problem and eliminate the defect.
