New Barcoding and Work Order Options Enhance Maintenance Timesheets for MicroMain Software

New Features Simplify Labor Management with Version v7.1

(January 29, 2008) AUSTIN, TX - MicroMain Corporation, a leading provider of asset and facility management software and services, today announced the release of MicroMain(TM) Timesheet v7.1, a timesheet and labor management tool used with MicroMain's maintenance management software.

With MicroMain Timesheet, maintenance technicians post their daily hours. This includes time spent accomplishing maintenance tasks and administrative duties as well as time off such as vacation or jury duty. Noting specific hour types, such as regular or overtime, makes it easy for managers to automatically calculate labor costs. Many organizations also require contract labor to post timesheets. Because staff and contract hours are automatically uploaded to the MicroMain database, maintenance managers can track time, costs, and work progress on a regular basis.

New barcoding options in Version 7.1 allow managers to use control numbers for staff and contract labor. These control numbers can be scanned directly-for example, from an employee badge or card- to increase accuracy and save time. In addition to labor, barcodes can also be used for parts used for maintenance work. Managers now may also search by control number to open labor records or find parts.

Other new features include labor time clock control for entering time in/time out, enhanced security for the labor form, and new visibility of staff or contract labor shop or subshop. Enhanced work order management functionality includes creating new detailed costs records, adding parts and other costs to work orders, and updating work order assigned parts and costs.

New options enable managers to easily configure the software tool for their needs, including disabling or enabling barcode scanning or work order status updates. With MicroMain Timesheet, supervisors also have the option of requiring approvals before time is posted.

"Our customers have always appreciated the way they can not only utilize timesheets but also access labor records, view days available for scheduling labor, update work orders, and generate reports using this software," said Joe Brummer, Vice President with MicroMain. "With the new options and enhanced features in MicroMain Timesheet Version 7.1, they can now gain additional efficiencies by simplifying their labor management."
