Indus Expands Service Delivery Management Leadership Position with New Release of Service Suite(TM)

Enhanced Field Service Management and Optimization Solution Delivers Superior Performance, Usability and Scalability

ATLANTA, November 09, 2004 - Indus International Inc. (NASDAQ: IINT), a leading Service Delivery Management (SDM)(TM) solution provider, today announced availability of a new release of Indus Service Suite(TM), the company's robust field service management and optimization solution. Indus' Customer, Asset and Service Suites collectively provide the functionality required to drive end-to-end service supply chain business processes. Release 6.0 is a major step in fulfilling Indus' vision of the process-centric enterprise by delivering seamless workflow and critical information exchanges between Service Suite and Indus' Asset and Customer Suites. In addition, Release 6.0 adds numerous features to help clients improve and measure field service efficiency and build more lucrative customer relationships. Indus Service Suite provides powerful tools for optimizing the delivery of service in the field. Its robust real-time resource optimization engine and graphical scheduling dashboard make the scheduling and dispatching of resources easy and efficient. Wireless capabilities improve the productivity of call center and field personnel by enabling instant dispatching, two-way communication of critical work-related information and documentation and immediate recording of work status activities - such as work order closure, parts usage and invoicing. With Service Suite Release 6.0, Indus has added new capabilities and enhanced existing features which boost the applications' performance, make it easier to use and expand its scalability. Some of the key enhancements to the Service Suite offering include the following: o Crew Scheduling. Enables a group of field resources to be combined and scheduled as a crew, facilitating the optimized scheduling of work orders and tasks to multiple personnel based on shared skills, location, and other user-defined variables. Multiple crews can be defined, and a resource can be part of several crews. o Support for Global Time Zones. Facilitates the scheduling of various resources across multiple time zones, an important feature for global service organizations who offer outsourced services to customers in diverse countries. o Special Availability Periods. Allows unique time slots (e.g. weekends, after hours, etc.) to be set aside for certain types of work, such as server outages and network maintenance, which can not be scheduled during normal work hours. o Expanded Scalability. Multithreaded database access enables the system to perform more tasks in a shorter timeframe, boosting the system's ability to optimize numerous resource schedules and perform "what if" scenarios. Customer Response Release 6.0 of Indus Service Suite is generally available and shipping to clients now, including several who purchased the application for delivery as soon as it was available. These customers, including Xcel Energy, Credit Suisse First Boston, Southern Company Services, Computer Associates, Royal KPN and others, have either performed beta testing of the new release or have engaged in a pilot of the solution suite. "As we move forward with our multiple initiatives to transform the way Xcel Energy does business, we realized we needed a new, integrated software solution that would provide real-time control of key areas of our field workflow and give our employees the information they need to better serve our customers," said Ray Gogel, vice president and chief information officer at Xcel Energy.
