Englewood, Colo., August 9, 2006 -- Baxa Corporation announces the release of version two of its Abacus TPN Calculation Software. Abacus v2 is a Windows®-based software application used for total parenteral nutrition (TPN) order entry and compounding. Designed by health-system pharmacists, the software ensures safety and reduces the opportunity for user error in the prescribing, calculating and mixing of multi-source compounds.

Abacus is the only Windows-based software application designed for safe pharmacy compounding for TPN products.
