Boca Raton, FL April 21, 2004 ScriptLogic Corporation (www.scriptlogic.com), a leader in network administration software for Microsoft Windows-based networks, today announced availability of a new version of the company's Desktop Authority and ScriptLogic Enterprise desktop administration software: Version 5.5.
The new version incorporates a host of features and functionality that make these products the easiest to use and most powerful point-and-click desktop administration software tools available on the market. A new desktop agent technology has been added to enable additional control and specific administrative actions while users are logged on. The first use of the agent technology introduces an inactivity function allowing desktop administrators to logoff, shutdown, restart or lock a user's desktop after a specified period of inactivity.

The new versions of both solutions are available for download from www.scriptlogic.com/fivefive, and through ScriptLogic's global network of resellers and distributors. Software license pricing includes the first year of Software Advantage (technical support and product upgrades). Existing Desktop Authority, ScriptLogic Enterprise or Small Business Edition customers with active Software Advantage agreements will be able to download the version upgrade at no additional cost. Migration pricing is available for ScriptLogic Enterprise customers who wish to purchase Desktop Authority.
