New 'Stock-Ticker' Style Database Monitoring Solution Available Now as Freeware

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 24 -- Database-Brothers, Inc. (DBI), an industry leading provider of accountability and performance solutions for DB2 LUW and Oracle, today announced the availability of Brother-Eagle(TM), a powerful, yet light-weight enterprise database monitoring solution that can display performance metrics for several databases at a glance.

Brother-Eagle monitors all of an organization's Oracle and DB2 LUW databases and looks for database performance problems or inefficiencies that need to be corrected. It then summarizes the performance characteristics in a single, easy-to-read "stock ticker" graphical presentation that links directly to expert advice and performance tips to aid in rapid problem resolution. The new monitoring solution also assigns each database health and performance efficiency scores which can be easily viewed in the scrolling display.

The client-based Brother-Eagle solution is available in two editions: a freeware Standard Edition and the customizable Professional Edition. The freeware Standard Edition offers all essential health and performance metrics, expert advice and a highly customizable user interface featuring the innovative "stock ticker" style design. The Professional Edition adds advanced, customizable metrics and advice that can be matched to a specific environment's needs along with one-year of email-based technical support. Both editions support Oracle 9.2, Oracle 10G, DB2 8.2 and DB2 9 databases.
