Edifecs Announces New Healthcare Transaction Repository

BELLEVUE, Wash., March 21 / -- Edifecs, Inc., the leading provider of B2B solutions for transaction interoperability, today announced the launch and general availability of Edifecs Healthcare Transaction Repository (HTR), a key technology infrastructure addition to the Edifecs Healthcare Suite. Edifecs Healthcare Transaction Repository provides unprecedented access to healthcare transaction data independent of source or host systems.

This repository uses a fully "business normalized" schema to deliver the gold standard for inbound and outbound data in a canonical form, thus allowing un-restricted use of the data for reporting, analysis or reuse by other systems. Mapping of all EDI elements of standard healthcare transactions to common business concepts is already accomplished for the user, providing ready access to business data through a simple query of the repository.

Though the repository fully supports all elements in the defined EDI healthcare transaction standards, it is designed to remain "source agnostic" in order to allow input of common business elements from multiple sources into the same schema.

Edifecs HTR is a fundamental building block for business performance applications for Transaction Accountability, Benchmarking, Alerts and Notifications, Error Remediation, Data Sharing, Business Activity Monitoring, Business Intelligence, Provider Performance Monitoring and Transaction Reconciliation.

"Edifecs Healthcare Transaction Repository represents a breakthrough e-health technology that delivers automated extraction of standard healthcare business data objects from electronic healthcare transactions," said Sunny Singh, CEO of Edifecs. "At Edifecs, we take our commitment to our customers to continuously evolve and improve our products very seriously. This new application is outstanding evidence of that commitment."
