PLEASANTON, CA, May 28, 2003 - ACCPAC International, Inc., a subsidiary of Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA), announced today the release of ACCPAC Insight(tm), an advanced enterprise reporting and analysis software suite designed to provide accountants, executives and other corporate users with simple, fast and flexible access to all critical business data.

ACCPAC Insight is fully integrated to back office business applications and provides advanced reporting, budgeting, consolidations, and scheduling not only from accounting systems, including general ledger, receivables, payables and other financial systems, but also from non-financial data sources throughout the enterprise. The software has an easy-to-use Microsoft® Excel based user interface and is an ideal reporting solution for companies with multiple departments and subsidiary organizations, as well as those with remote employees and multiple locations that need real-time access to company data.

Simple to Manage MS Excel-based Reporting with Cross-Module Drill Down ACCPAC Insight uses wizards that enable end-users to easily create and modify their own reports - on the fly - without MIS support. Reports can be viewed in Microsoft Excel, and more advanced viewing, including cross-module drill-down analysis, can be done with ACCPAC Insight Viewer's MS Excel add-in or from a Web browser using the optional Web Deployment Server. Drill down is not restricted to a predefined path but can be done in a truly exploratory fashion, enabling users to both drill-down and around, moving through the data as their needs dictate.

Dynamic Enterprise-Wide Integration
Unlike some report writers that only access financial data from the general ledger, ACCPAC Insight reports can be developed from all accounting modules and from different data sources throughout an enterprise - accounting, operational, front office, back office, administrative and any other ODBC-compliant data stores. ACCPAC Insight detects changes in the underlying databases, can automatically reflect those changes in affected reports, and can be scheduled to send automatic or periodic updates to a Web site or to individual users. Updates aren't restricted solely to changed data, but are dynamically made to the report design itself when data updates dictate it. For example, if the database is updated to include a new company division, reports that track divisional data are automatically updated with another section to display data including the new division.

ACCPAC Insight is available with direct, instant integration to ACCPAC Advantage Series and ACCPAC Pro Series accounting systems. ACCPAC Insight also can be integrated with other ACCPAC end-to-end business management applications, and any other ODBC-compliant applications, through the Universal Database Access component of ACCPAC Insight Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Web-based Reporting
ACCPAC Insight's Web Deployment Server provides the ability to view summary or detail reports on-line through a Web browser. Web-access users have full access to the reporting tools and are able to drill down to source transactions.

Budgeting
ACCPAC Insight's budgeting functions work with the Professional or Enterprise Data Warehouse component to coordinate the flow of data in the budget cycle, from redistribution of values throughout the budget process to consolidating budget values. Employees responsible for budget management can deliver templates for end-user data entry and manipulation, and can consolidate input into a single Data Mart to prepare an end-user budget in true bottom-up fashion. ACCPAC Insight's budgeting features include drill-down and write-back capabilities.

Consolidations
ACCPAC Insight Consolidations works with its Professional or Enterprise Data Warehouse component to handle general ledger consolidations. Companies can consolidate information from multiple databases, even if they originate from different accounting applications, into a single set of financial reports. This enables head office, branch office, and subsidiary company employees to operate with a single, unified view of key financial data at any time.
