Visual Network Design Releases Data Center Manager (DCM)

Data Center Operations and Physical Modeling Application

RACKWISE(TM) Data Center Manager(TM) provides operations through documentation, navigation, analysis and visualization

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 28, 2006 -- Gartner Data Center Conference -- Visual Network Design, Inc. (VNDI) today announced the release of RACKWISE Data Center Manager (DCM) from the
Gartner Data Center Conference.

"This represents nearly 12-months of development and is the capstone piece of the RACKWISE(TM) portfolio," said VNDI President and Chairman, Emmett DeMoss. "The company has always been focused on visualization and delivering actionable information and it has never been more apparent in this product. DCM features full data center visualization which allows organizations to understand where and how their critical physical infrastructure is being consumed and, even more importantly, when they will run out."

RACKWISE(TM) DCM builds on the RACKWISE(TM) product suite and leverages their strategic partner, Microsoft, to provide a Navigation portal, drill-down data center capacity search, executive reports, advanced device configuration information
and the detailed device analysis for over 20,000 different data center IT devices. The new DCM application allows organizations to manage their entire Data Center
infrastructure from a central location, managing IT assets and physical infrastructure associated with power, cooling, space and connectivity.

"As technology has progressed, it has brought new challenges in supporting legacy infrastructure's ability to sustain the increased resource requirements of advanced computing systems," said Neil Puntenney, Data Center Designer at Raymond James Financial. "With RACKWISE DCM I will be able to see the whole, as opposed to only a fractured, view of my data center physical infrastructure. The visual representations from the DCM dashboard will make managing the infrastructure more streamlined and efficient, enabling the identification of equipment that demands higher data
center resources and modeling to see how any changes will affect the data center environment. This capability will reduce the time required for installs and restructuring, down from commonly several days or more. With DCM's Executive reports I can monitor and track physical capacity to ensure our SLAs and OLAs client requirements are met."

Features in RACKWISE(TM) Data Center Manager include:

-- Graphical Design and Modeling of Data Centers - Full Modeling and Graphical representation of the data center.

-- Auto-Build From Imported Bill of Materials - Import bill-of-material and visualize the data center in minutes.

-- Advanced Operations and Reporting - Determine capacity availability and utilization through visual stop-light colors by setting device and rack thresholds. On-demand
reports for assets, configurations, costs, power, cooling, cabling and space analysis.

-- Modeling and Analysis of Data Center Designs - Intelligently plan impacts of data center changes prior to implementation. Understand physical limitations prior to
implementation.

-- Space, Power, Cooling, and Cable Management - Maximize data center critical physical infrastructure to deliver real operational savings.
