Deep Freeze Mac Cooler Than Ever
SAN RAMON, CA, Sept. 12 // -- Faronics announces the immediate release and availability of Deep Freeze Mac 3.1. Deep Freeze Mac instantly protects and preserves original computer configurations, eliminating routine maintenance, while allowing complete unrestricted access to the computer. Regardless of the changes made to a workstation, a restart resets the computer to its original state.
This latest version of Deep Freeze Mac offers several new features, including the ability to be managed directly through the console of the LANDesk(R) Management Suite. "Faronics is very pleased to be working with LANDesk, given their focus on cross-platform desktop management," said Dave Anderson, Faronics' Deep Freeze Mac product manager. Version 3.1 also offers the option to add or delete multiple individual ThawSpaces (partitions on Frozen drives where data can be saved permanently) from within the Deep Freeze Mac Controller; ThawSpaces can now be sized anywhere from 1 MB to 120 GB. All options in Deep Freeze Mac can be pre-configured to create customized installation packages. These packages can be deployed and managed using LANDesk or Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) to provide bulletproof protection and enterprise-level control for multiple Mac environments.
