Software promotes intuitive 3D model design.

Press Release Summary:

FreeDimension v1.0 is based on N-Sided Surfacing technology, which frees users from quadrilateral surfacing technologies and expedites molding of naturally looking organic shapes, ergonomic surfaces, and 3D textures. Promoting creative freedom, this 3D surface modeler presents curve-based interface to user that mimics pencil-and-paper method of design. It can read and write SketchUp 5 files and also outputs data into .OBJ, .POV, and .STL formats.

FreeDesign Inc. Releases Debut of FreeDimension for 'Simply Designing' Breakthrough 3D Design Software Priced at $495

Longmont, CO December 5, 2006 - FreeDesign, Inc., creator of the breakthrough 3D surface modeler FreeDimension, today announced the first full release of the software, now available at freedesign-inc.com for only $495.

The announce follows much anticipation from the industrial design, gaming, illustration, and product design markets for the radically new approach to 3D surface generation in models. FreeDimension allows designers unprecedented freedom to stylize 3D models intuitively, unburdened by the need for complex tools to create curved surfaces. With a remarkably easy user interface, the innovative modeling technology quickly expedites what used to be the most difficult task in 3D models - the molding of naturally looking organic shapes, ergonomic surfaces, and rich three-dimensional textures.

Version 1.0 of FreeDimension can read and write SketchUp 5 files and also outputs data into commonly used .OBJ, .POV and .STL formats. FreeDesign is currently developing software that will output its FreeDimension surfaces as NURBS surfaces for interface with other popular surface based applications. The Company forecasts the release of these modules over the next several months.

"FreeDimension V1.0 is the essential baseline tool which enables everybody to just 'simply design,'" commented Dick Sowar, CEO of FreeDesign Inc. "It brings the emphasis back on spontaneous creativity, and ushers in a new era that does not require complex skillsets for 3D creation. FreeDimension is so easy to use, anyone with a standard PC will to be able to create directly in 3D."

FreeDimension is based on the patent-pending N-Sided Surfacing (NSS) technology, which frees users from quadrilateral surfacing technologies like NURBS and Bezier surfaces. The NSS technology allows FreeDimension to present a curve-based interface to the user that closely mimics a pencil-and-paper method of design, giving designers more freedom in generating 3D shapes for new product, virtual gaming, and entertainment applications.

FreeDesign has set student and academic pricing at $99 per student, $695 for a classroom multi-seat license.

All FreeDimension products are available for immediate download at freedesign-inc.com (http://freedesign-inc.com) .

For those wishing to try out this revolutionarily new modeler, FreeDimension may be tested on a free 30-day trial basis at freedesign-inc.com .

About FreeDesign, Inc.

FreeDesign's breakthrough NSS 3D surfacing technology forms the foundation of a revolutionary new modeling tool, FreeDimension. FreeDimension allows for unprecedented freedom and intuition in 3D curve manipulation for initial concept designs. Organic and ergonomic surfaces, traditionally the most difficult to model in CAD, can now be spontaneously generated without advanced modeling skills. The patent-pending N-Sided-Surfacing represents a new generation of 3D surface modeling that enables fast, flexible 3D surface modeling that proves easily superior over NURBS- and Bezier-based systems.

FreeDesign is based in Longmont, Colorado. A free 30-day trial of FreeDimension is available for downloaded at freedesign-inc.com
