LAS VEGAS (Inforum) - September 13, 2007 - Infor today announced availability of Labor Forecasting, a new module for Infor SCM Warehouse Management that enables organizations to efficiently predict, plan, and control their warehouse labor capacity. Labor Forecasting builds on Infor SCM Warehouse Management 9.0, which the company unveiled four months ago, and further extends the capabilities of the industry's most advanced warehouse management solution. The module has embedded capabilities based on Infor's Performance Management (PM) solutions, Infor PM Business Specific Analytics.
Labor Forecasting utilizes embedded business-specific analytics to enable warehouse managers to precisely forecast the number of workers needed to fulfill and deliver goods on time. It allows managers to adjust planning on the fly and measure results through role-based dashboards that deliver regular updates. Together with the existing capabilities of Infor SCM Warehouse Management, Labor Forecasting allows enterprises to balance work and tasks against available labor, resulting in greater efficiency and a reduction in labor and overtime costs.
Labor Forecasting is a self-contained component that utilizes the advanced service-oriented architecture (SOA) capabilities of Infor SCM Warehouse Management.
