Sybase iAnywhere Announces New Version of Mobile Device-to-Desktop Synchronization Software
XTNDConnect PC 6.0 New Features Include Enhanced User Interface, Photo Support for Contacts, New Device Support, Ability to Set Directional Filters and Enhanced Customization Options
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12 -- CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment 2006 -- Sybase iAnywhere today announced version 6.0 of its XTNDConnect PC(R) mobile device-to-desktop synchronization software. Version 6.0 adds an enhanced user interface, photo support, enhanced customization options, broad language updates and support for more devices including the Palm 700 and Sony Ericsson W810 models.
With more than 25 million copies distributed, XTNDConnect PC is a software application that allows users to synchronize contacts, calendars, tasks, e-mail, and notes between mobile devices and popular PC applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise, Lotus Organizer, and ACT!.

New features in XTNDConnect PC include:
-- Greater ease-of-use including a new user interface, convenient profile selector and progress bar,
-- New Windows Installer options that allow system administrators to repackage and perform customized deployments including modified default settings, changes to supported data types, selection of included languages and supported platforms,
-- Photo support enabled for contacts in Outlook on Palm OS and Windows Mobile devices,
-- Ability for users to choose where their complete set of data resides -- either in their desktop or groupware Personal Information Manager (PIM) or on their device, with the option to filter information in either direction,
-- Localization updates for 11 languages-Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish, and
-- New device support for Palm Treo 700p and 700w, Palm Z22, Palm Tungsten E2 and Sony Ericsson models K310, K510, K610, K800, V630, W300, W700, W810, Z525, Z530. XTNDConnect PC already supports Windows-powered devices such as Windows Mobile 5.0, Pocket PC, Pocket PC Phone edition and Microsoft Smartphone devices. Most Palm, Sony Ericsson and numerous NEC phone models are also supported.
