New Software from Industrial Color Improves Workflow Efficiency for Creative Decision-Makers

NEW YORK, June 5 / -- Industrial Color, the leader in digital capture and workflow services, today announced the availability of GLOBALedit(TM) version 3, a professional online image management system. GLOBALedit provides professional creative teams with global access to massive photo collections and a suite of workflow tools that connect creative and business communities. The product is being demonstrated at the Henry Stewart Digital Asset Management Symposium in New York at the Jacob Javits Center, booth #405, June 5-8, 2007.

"Digital technology transformed professional photography, creating amazing opportunities to streamline and stimulate production workflow, beginning at the moment an image is captured," said Steve Kalalian, president of Industrial Color. "Yet, creative teams remain constrained by expensive and time- consuming production methods. GLOBALedit provides practical interfaces and metadata-driven technology that revolutionizes the way people work. Its on- line environment allows teams to collaborate across the entire supply chain."

GLOBALedit's powerful engine propels a more contextual workflow, anchoring images with metadata relevant to the creative process. Its flexible, visual interface informs users and connects teams to powerful image ingestion, storage, collaboration, and distribution services, compressing time and lowering costs throughout the digital content production cycle.

Photographers, art directors, and other content creators can upload thousands of files to the GLOBALedit Shoot Manager, providing real-time access to creative decision-makers around the world from any Web browser. These teams can then use the GLOBALedit Image Editor to search, browse, compare, annotate, select, rate and approve images online.

GLOBALedit users collaborate interactively, using a variety of integrated workflow tools including a talent approval module, customizable lightboxes and a contact sheet generator. Once decisions are made, high-resolution files can then be instantly distributed to in-house or 3rd party fulfillment resources.

"Using GLOBALedit's Talent Approvals workflow along with our corporate digital asset management system enables us to save hundreds of thousands of dollars annually," said Paul Nicholson, vice president, Print and Broadcast Production, Showtime Networks. "We have virtually eliminated the costs and labor associated with printing and shipping contact sheets."

GlobalEdit software is available as a licensed or hosted solution. Licensed software is available in Core or Enterprise configurations. The hosted solution model is priced based on client shoot volume. Typical hosted pricing includes a set-up fee and upload charges on a shoot day basis. Please contact Industrial Color for pricing details.
