IBM Deep Computing Visualization Brings Collaborative, Immersive Visualization Capabilities Together in an Integrated Solution

Overview

IBM Deep Computing Visualization provides a scalable, collaborative middleware infrastructure to help support and enhance the graphics function of OpenGL software applications on IntelliStation® A Pro or Z Pro workstations running Linux(TM).

A Deep Computing Visualization implementation can be inexpensive and highly adaptable. With Deep Computing Visualization, high-end graphical images can be created in two visualization modes:

· Scalable visual networking (SVN)
· Remote visual networking (RVN)

These visualization modes can help improve performance and function at a fraction of the cost of many other proprietary offerings. SVN will support multiple high-resolution monitors or projectors for immersive visualization. RVN will distribute graphical images to remote (collaborative) clients called endstations. IBM Deep Computing Visualization will help increase screen resolution and image size and will allow remote use of the application, all while maintaining performance. For screen resolution and image size, Deep Computing Visualization will enable applications to be displayed on large multiprojector display walls and high-resolution monitors at minimal cost. This feature can enable more accurate decisions to be made based on the higher resolution of data contents.

Deep Computing Visualization makes graphics applications much easier to manage by keeping the application in one central location and securely transferring data to remote collaborators anywhere on the network.

Deep Computing Visualization can enable clients in industries such as petroleum exploration and production, automotive, aerospace, life sciences, and digital content creation to enhance decision making and derive new insights from complex sources of data.
