People-Trak Boosts HR Efficiency with Three New Modules

BONSALL, CA - Keeping ahead of the technology curve and anticipating customer needs are critical to an HR application's continued success. With both goals in mind, Technical Difference, Inc. designed People-Trak's three new modules to take advantage of browser-based applications and add functions from the wish lists of People-Trak users. Career Center fully automates Web recruiting, Remote Access allows Web access to People-Trak from branch offices and other offsite locations, and Training Administration allows in-house training organizations to create, track and administer training programs. The three new modules work in conjunction with People-Trak's Personnel Management core component to stretch the system's reach and strengthen its usefulness.

"Right from the start, our intention behind People-Trak has been to provide the greatest functionality for the fairest price," said Technical Difference President Jim Witschger. "The new modules further People-Trak's industry position as a great value in the human resource arena where our system leads the market in value."

Career Center - The module features a front-end, browser-based application and a back-end database function that eliminates rekeying and allows prospective employees to track their application through the company's system. Potential employees can complete applications through the company's Web site and establish a passport that allows them to monitor the application's progress. On the receiving end, company personnel can use the new résumé-parsing feature to distribute database fields directly into the People-Trak database. The closed-loop system does away with redundant data keying and reduces phone calls by enabling applicants to use the self-service feature to answer questions.

Training Administration - The module supports a full in-house training organization by providing tools to administer classroom-, computer- or Web-based training programs. Fully integrated with People-Trak's Personnel Management component, which has been updated to support tracking of employees' training history, the module manages class creation and catalog development. In addition, the module enables training departments to manage assignments and scheduling of instructors, facilities, and equipment.

Remote Access - People-Trak is now available from anywhere employees have Internet access. Using secure login, the browser-based solution requires no software on the remote user's side. The Web-based system allows remote users to access all of People-Trak's features and functions using the system's familiar screens. Remote Access makes People-Trak a worldwide solution for companies that support branch offices and field service, sales, engineering, and other off-site employees.

The modules have been rolled out and are already being installed at several People-Trak sites. "We're hearing great responses from our customers," said Witschger. "Anytime we can eliminate redundant work or automate manual systems, we know we've delivered on our promises to provide meaningful products and exceptional value."
