Cluster Systems Management (CSM) v1.3.1 for AIX 5L and Linux offers single-point management for pSeries and xSeries servers. Overview
New for CSM for AIX® 1.3.1
oRemote Hardware Control available on IBM Oserver pSeries(TM) 655 and 630 (7028-6C4). Includes LPAR support for pSeries 630.
o Remote Hardware Control is planned for July 25, 2003, for:
- POWER4+ pSeries 650, pSeries 690, pSeries 670, and pSeries 655
- 7026 Servers (H80, M80, pSeries 660, 6H0/6H1, and 6M1)
- 9076 SP(TM) Nodes (feature numbers 2050, 2051, 2052, 2053, 2056, 2057)
o Remote Hardware Control is planned for September 26, 2003, for SP Node feature numbers 2054 and 2058.
o Linux operating systems on IBM eserver xSeries(TM) hardware are interoperable with AIX Management Server:
- Red Hat 7.2

o Can run on multiple install servers, allowing you to increase the number of concurrent CSM and Red Hat Linux OS installations.
o Node range support added to CSM commands for increased usability.
o Ability to tailor and run user customization scripts during installation and update.
o Alignment of CSM and IBM Director provides access to CSM status, monitoring tools, and action commands via the Director console.
o Support for a subset of CSM functions with no footprint on "minimally managed" nodes.

CSM for AIX 5L:
o AIX 5L V5.2 for management servers, V5.1 or V5.2 for any other servers
o IBM @server Cluster 1600 or specified pSeries servers

CSM for Linux:
o SuSE 8.0, 8.1, SLES 7 or SLES 8, or Red Hat 7.2, 7.3, 8.0, or AS 2.1
o IBM @server Cluster 1350 or specified xSeries servers
