New Software for Elmo X-Series DVR's Expands Pos-Integration Capability; Allows Callup of Cameras Via Wireless PDA's
PLAINVIEW, NY, MARCH 10, 2004 - DataMan-X Software, a new data management package for ELMO X-Series Digital Video Recorders, expands their capability to integrate POS, ATM and card access data with video data stored on the DVR's. The linking of the POS, ATM and card access databases speeds accurate verification of retail and financial transactions and provides instant visual verification of credit cards and the individuals using them. The software also enables rapid database searches to streamline analysis and reporting.
This cost effective loss-prevention tool reduces employee theft, fraudulent use of credit cards and losses during banking transactions. Critical images can be archived easily and digital watermarked verification is provided. The X-Series of DVR's, is comprised of five PC-based, multi-input models: a 4-input, a 9-input and three 16-input, all shipped POS and ATM-ready via serial or TCP/IP. These high-quality, competitively-priced DVR's range from the ELMO EDR-X04, 4-input 30fps to the 16-input, 480fps (30 fps across 16 cameras) EDR-X 416 security server. Rack mount and compact versions are available depending on the model. A single-input embedded, platform/processor-independent model, the EDR-Xl, rounds out the line.
