New Routing and Scheduling Application Enhances Customer Service Through Access to Real-Time Delivery Information
BOSTON, MA, June 10, 2002 - The Descartes Systems Group Inc., (Nasdaq:DSGX) (TSX:DSG), a trusted provider of logistics management solutions, today announced the availability of Fleetwise Monitor®, a new routing and scheduling software application designed to enhance the performance of customer service representatives for order fulfillment.
Recognizing that less than half of today's customer services representatives have access to information on order status, Descartes designed Fleetwise Monitor in concert with customer needs to provide for real-time coordination of customer service representatives, dispatchers and drivers. Designed to display only the most pertinent delivery information in an easy to use format, Fleetwise Monitor is a browser-based application that provides clear visibility into order fulfillment progress. With simplified access to real-time information about scheduled deliveries and exceptions, customer service representatives can enhance customer service by proactively responding to potential delivery delays.

Some of the features of Fleetwise Monitor include: warning alerts that are pushed to the customer service representative when a truck is delayed, customer queries, and line item detailed shipment information. With easy access to this critical delivery information, customer service representatives can proactively view and respond to changes in delivery schedules through three different screen views including Orders, Routes and Customers.
