Software is suited for mechanical testing and analysis.

Press Release Summary:

Using token-based software license server, VibraSuite gives engineers access to mechanical test and analysis tools from Vibrant and ATA. ME'scope extracts modal parameters and operating deflection shapes from mechanical test data, while ROTATE post-processes test data for extraction of harmonics, orders, resonances, and transients. Attune semi-automatically adjusts and refines finite-element dynamics model to correlate with test data, while IMAT provides library of MATLAB(TM) functions.

Vibrant and ATA Launch VibraSuite for Mechanical Test & Analysis

SAN DIEGO and SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., Jan. 26 -- ATA Engineering, Inc. (ATA), and Vibrant Technology, Inc., today jointly announced the launch of VibraSuite, new software that combines four separate market-leading mechanical test and analysis tools. VibraSuite uses a token-based software license server to give engineers access to a range of well-regarded software products from different vendors.

Token-based licensing has emerged as a more flexible and cost-effective software licensing solution for users. This is the first time it has been used to provide lower-cost access to complementary tools from different vendors.

VibraSuite incorporates ME'scope software from Vibrant with three related applications from ATA: ROTATE, Attune, and IMAT.

o ME'scope is one of the most widely used applications for extracting modal parameters and operating deflection shapes from mechanical test data. ME'scope post-processes data from more than 40 different data acquisition systems and offers special user interfaces for over 15 high channel-count systems, including Bruel & Kjaer, VXI Technology, Data Physics, Sony, Oros, O1dB, and Larson Davis.

o ROTATE, recently acquired by ATA from Vold Solutions, also post-processes test data from a large number of data acquisition systems for high-precision extraction of harmonics, orders, resonances, and transients in complex operating data. ROTATE's unique diagnostic graphics and torsional vibration decoding algorithms are used daily by many kinds of engineers, ranging from rotating-machinery maintenance specialists and gas turbine makers to Formula One and NASCAR racecar designers.

o Attune offers the very latest technology for semiautomatically adjusting and refining a finite-element dynamics model to correlate with test data.

o IMAT software is a high-level library of MATLAB(TM) functions that enable engineers to further integrate and customize their mechanical test and analysis tasks.

All VibraSuite component applications are integrated by common file formats. For example, any frequency, order, or time-based vibration data extracted by ROTATE can be displayed in ME'scope as an animated operating deflection shape. Transients are animated versus time to fully visualize and help diagnose the most complex phenomena.

VibraSuite will be introduced at IMAC 2006, a conference sponsored by the Society for Experimental Mechanics, held in St. Louis, Mo., from January 30 to February 2, 2006. The product will be sold as a low-cost token-based license system, so that customers can increase or decrease their software licensing and control costs based on varying project workloads. VibraSuite tokens can be purchased directly from a new custom website, www.VibraSuite.com. The product will also be sold and supported by Vibrant and ATA resellers worldwide.
