Inter-Tel Announces Availability of Inter-Tel® 5000 Version 2.2



Software Release Delivers New Capabilities and Enhancements to Small- and Mid-size Businesses

TEMPE, Ariz., July 25 /-- Inter-Tel (Delaware), Incorporated (NASDAQ:INTL), a leading provider of voice and data communications for businesses, has announced the general availability of Inter-Tel 5000 Version 2.2 software, designed to provide customers with a more streamlined and efficient migration from legacy telephony to IP communications.

Highlighted among the new features in this latest software release is the Inter-Tel 5000 Database Converter, a tool designed to convert Inter-Tel Axxess(R) databases to Inter-Tel 5000 databases. Targeted to businesses with 20 through 250 users, the Inter-Tel 5000 is designed to be a full-featured, secure IP-centric communications system that supports IP-powered applications such as presence management and collaboration, as well as IP, 802.11 wireless, digital and analog endpoints.

Version 2.2 also includes upgraded caller ID capabilities for calls that are transferred to the public network.
