Overview
Tivoli® System Automation for GDPS(TM)/PPRC HyperSwap(TM) Manager
and Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager
with NetView® are limited-use versions of Tivoli System
Automation for z/OS® and Tivoli NetView for z/OS.
These new products provide automation capabilities when implementing a GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager solution.
Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager or Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager with NetView is a prerequisite for the GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager offering, that is designed to help provide continuous data availability in z/OS environments.
Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager is
a limited use version of Tivoli System Automation for z/OS that
enables you to implement the GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager solution without requiring you to obtain entitlement to the full-function version of Tivoli System Automation.
Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager requires Tivoli NetView for z/OS as a prerequisite, therefore a GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager solution using this product requires
that you also have obtained an entitlement to Tivoli NetView for
z/OS on the systems to be managed.
Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager
with NetView consists of limited use versions of both Tivoli System Automation for z/OS and Tivoli NetView for z/OS.
These new products and the GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager offering are designed to support organizations looking to achieve
greater availability but who have not previously purchased the full-use versions of Tivoli NetView for z/OS or Tivoli System Automation for z/OS products. This makes GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager an excellent entry-level offering for single- or
multiple-site clients that need higher IT availability.
Key prerequisites
Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager or Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager
with NetView is a prerequisite for and require the purchase of the Implementation Services for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager
offering from IGS.
Tivoli System Automation for GDPS/PPRC HyperSwap Manager requires Tivoli NetView for z/OS as a prerequisite.
