Description
Lotus LMS manages both classroom-based and e-learning activities, resources, and courseware across an enterprise. It helps organizations create, manage, and deliver educational resources to help their employees, Business Partners, and customers be better prepared, better informed, and more effective. LMS is available in 16 languages. You can manage your entire training program worldwide from a single platform.
Lotus LMS is comprised of the following modules:
· Learning Server: Manages users, enrollments, course
catalogs, resources, course schedules, and reporting.
· Authoring and Assembly Tool: Workstation-based tool that allows Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to easily create courseware without programming skills, so companies can share internal knowledge and make content authoring available to all.
· Content Delivery Server: Deploys and tracks course content, sends progress data to the Learning Server, and integrates with IBM Lotus Virtual Classroom. Separating content delivery improves system performance and scalability.
· Offline Learning Client: Supports disconnected users
and replicates their course progress back to the
server, so training is readily available to remote and
mobile workers.
· Report Writing Client: Supports the creation and
deployment of custom reports.

Lotus LMS supports industry standards such as SCORM and AICC. Support for rich media, course libraries from third-party vendors such as NETg, and formal and informal learning events makes the system flexible enough to suit your training requirements. With Lotus LMS, you can deliver online courses, schedule classrooms, perform student assessments, and manage
student enrollment activities. Training and human resources managers can establish curriculums, administer certification programs, track and report on learning activities, and manage
scheduling/notifications/alerts to keep students updated
on class activities. With Lotus LMS you can:
· Design and track training programs and activities
· Deliver tools that enable employees to self-manage
their learning activities and resources
· Support global workers in multiple languages and time
zones
· Customize the student user interface for various
audiences
· Create or import courseware and manage course
catalogs
· Manage calendars and schedule learning activities
· Generate extensive reports for tracking learning
activities required by industry and government
regulations
