NEW YORK, May 15 -- Streaming Media East -- Accordent Technologies, Inc. today unveiled Accordent Engage(TM), an enterprise-class, enhanced audio webcasting solution that enables large organizations to run and manage their own internal service bureaus. Distinct from traditional third- party web conferencing and conference call services, Accordent Engage enables any authorized user within an organization to create rich media webcasts without incurring expensive per minute, per audience member charges.

Accordent Engage provides an intuitive, online portal that lets authorized presenters create compelling rich media webcasts using only a telephone and Internet-enabled computer. Presenters log in to the managed portal, which guides them through the process of scheduling and producing content that can include live or recorded audio, and rich media features such as synchronized slides, downloadable documents and interactive elements such as moderated Q & A.
On the back end, Accordent Engage automates the event scheduling process by inviting selected attendees, setting up required resources and creating online archives for later review. End users simply log in and watch the synchronized media and visual presentation and, rather than using costly teleconferencing services, listen to the presenters over IP through their desktop computers. This automation is accomplished through IT-controlled system administration functions including access control via integration with LDAP / Active Directory services; event scheduling control, and configurable roles for administrators, hosts, presenters, moderators and audience members.
