ILOG Ships Elixir 1.0 for Adobe Flex 3 with Feature and Sales Channel Enhancements
ILOG Elixir 1.0 Complements Flex and Adobe AIR Software for Creating Rich Internet Applications
PARIS and SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 25 / / -- ILOG(R) (Nasdaq: ILOG; Euronext: ILO, ISIN: FR0004042364) today announced that its graphical visualization offering for Adobe(R) Flex(R), ILOG Elixir(R), is shipping with feature and sales channel enhancements. ILOG Elixir is available immediately from Adobe Systems to developers for $799 through an exclusive reseller agreement. ILOG also announced today that the product will be made available to Independent Software Vendors (ISV) for OEM use through ILOG's sales and support organization.
ILOG Elixir 1.0 enables rapid creation of advanced, business-critical and engaging Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) for the browser and the desktop using Adobe Flex 3 and Adobe(R) AIR(TM) software - from dashboards to planning and human resources displays. ILOG Elixir 1.0 features seven components, including a new one dedicated to gauges and dials. The new component enables drag and drop interface design and an advanced dedicated framework for specific gauge creation with fine-tuned appearance and behavior for custom business dashboards.

In addition to the new gauges and dials module, ILOG Elixir 1.0 includes the following six graphical data-display components:
o 3D charts: fully interactive with 40+ predefined settings, including
line, area, column, bar and pie charts that support orthographic,
oblique projections and stacking.
o Maps of the world: location-aware dashboards made easy with ready-made
maps of the world, continents and countries. Color coding and custom
object overlays as charts or custom map import are at a click of a
button.
o Radar chart (a.k.a. spider, Kiviat, web chart): display and compare a
limited set of unrelated factors such as software reliability,
aesthetic appeal, responsiveness and compatibility.
o Organization charts: visual and interactive representation of company
human resources for easy navigation of employee databases with rich,
interactive experience and stunning animations.
o Gantt resource chart: planned activities for numerous resources and
long periods of time available at a glance and tasks rescheduling are
few clicks away.
o Treemaps: invaluable graphics for analyzing and spotting trends and
outliers in raw data sets. Also described as graphical pivot tables,
Elixir's treemaps come with built-in drill-down capabilities.
Additionally for a more productive design and development experience, ILOG Elixir is integrated with Adobe Flex Builder(TM) -- an Eclipse(TM) based development tool to accelerate Flex application development.
