Overview
The ImageUltra(TM) Builder V2.0 and DeployCenter Library from Symantec packaged license offering provides a cost-effective solution to build, manage, and deploy images.
The DeployCenter Library from Symantec is an imaging tool that offers flexibility and cuts deployment time in IBM and non-IBM customer environments.
ImageUltra Builder V2.0 for Microsoft(TM) Windows(TM) lets you:
· Reduce the need to support multiple images on multiple hardware platforms
· Lessen the time and effort associated with image compatibility hardware testing
· Eliminate the need to rebuild images from scratch and manually install applications
· Combine multiple operating systems and languages into one custom image1
· Create fully portable object oriented images that work across multiple ThinkPad® and ThinkCentre(TM) models
· Produce Sysprep portable object oriented images that can be used across supported IBM and non-IBM systems
The imaging tool in DeployCenter Library from Symantec eliminates the need, in most cases, to physically visit the PC for operating system deployments and system refreshes. You can simultaneously set up, configure, and deploy multiple Windows workstations to a new or upgraded operating system. This ability to automate tasks lets you deploy a standard desktop image to hundreds of computer systems in minutes.

· To use the licenses in this solution, a customer must have previously purchased the ImageUltra Builder software and DeployCenter Library software.
· Symantec, not IBM, is solely responsible for the licensing and support of the DeployCenter Library.
Key prerequisites
ImageUltra Builder and DeployCenter Library software must be purchased by the customer prior to the use of the packaged licenses. ImageUltra Builder is available from IBM sales channels and DeployCenter Library is available from a Symantec Distributor.
