4D Web 2.0 Pack v1.1 Released



Ajax applications now run up to 10 times faster

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 9 -- 4D Inc., maker of an integrated development platform for building and deploying business applications, announced today the release of version 1.1 of the 4D Web 2.0 Pack, an extensive toolset that lets 4D developers create rich Internet applications and integrate browser technology into 4D applications. Version 1.1 includes significant new feature additions, plus performance improvements and numerous bug fixes.

Version 1.1 of the 4D Ajax Framework contains two new "matrix" objects that integrate data and graphics in more intuitive ways, as well as new tools to help query, filter, display, and search data. It also implements compression technology to make applications run as much as 10 times faster.

Version 1.1 of 4D Live Window includes new callback functions to drive dynamic forms, and enhanced JavaScript support.
