Emerson Releases Enhanced Deltav(TM) Simulate Suite for Improved Engineering Productivity And Operator Training
Powerful simulation software enables simultaneous test of large control system configurations across multiple nodes
AUSTIN,TEXAS (October 24, 2003) - Emerson Process Management has enhanced its DeltaV(TM) Simulate Suite of software that enables simultaneous test of control system configurations across multiple nodes. Major training system enhancements such as process snapshot, save, and restore will greatly increase value when deploying operator training systems using DeltaV Simulate. The software simulates batch and continuous applications, and can execute faster or slower than real time for ultimate flexibility during operator training sessions. DeltaV Simulate is a key software component to help power PlantWeb® digital plant architecture to efficiency improvement through engineering and operations benefits.

High fidelity dynamic process simulation packages, like HYSYS, can easily connect to the simulation capability of DeltaV I/O function blocks to read and write parameters to control blocks. Connecting DeltaV Simulate to a dynamic process simulator makes training sessions more realistic and can help pinpoint operational difficulties long before the plant actually starts up. All DeltaV modules including advanced control functionality of DeltaV Tune, DeltaV Fuzzy and DeltaV Predict can be tested within the simulation environment.
