Eagle's ProTeus Computerized Maintenance Management System Supports Global Solutions

January 2003 - MEQUON, WI - Eagle Technology, developer of ProTeus Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), announces multi-site support for companies involved in global operations. International companies operating facilities in multiple countries must coordinate many issues, including various languages, currencies, different work structures, agency requirements, and quality control standards. Eagle Technology offers a variety of Maintenance Management Software products which address these issues and meet the needs of these global operations.

Languages

ProTeus II is available in several languages, including English, German, Hungarian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese. It supports networked solutions that allow each site to operate in their preferred local language. In addition, a single site can be configured with separate workstations, each using a different language.

Currency

ProTeus II bridges the international currency gap by allowing each site to operate in their local currency for receipt of parts, labor costs and equipment purchases. At the same time, the central office can view the costs in the defined "base currency" (US dollars, Euros, or other) for any individual plant or totalize all costs worldwide.

Database Structure

ProTeus II allows the international company to choose the most effective database solution to match their work structure. A company can choose to share one database and allow individual sites access via LAN, WAN or intranet. Alternatively, each global site can have a separate database, and the central office can be given authority to easily view information from all the sites.

Benefits

A globally oriented Computerized Maintenance Management System helps international operations in many ways. It helps a company become more cost effective. A single, coordinated maintenance management system saves on hardware, software and the time and effort needed to train personnel. Eagle helps keep costs down by providing local training, support and implementation. A coordinated system also facilitates timely and accurate information exchange, including maintenance expenses and labor reports, between the global sites and corporate headquarters. This gives management the information they need to make appropriate accounting and budget decisions.

Eagle Technology, Inc. has provided quality CMMS solutions around the world since 1986. The company's systems are available in 30 countries and in a growing number of languages. Over 3000 customers, including many Fortune 500 companies, rely on Eagle for their maintenance management needs. These customers use Eagle's programs to schedule and track preventive maintenance, minimize equipment downtimes and increase productivity.
