Infragistics Announces NetAdvantage for .NET 2008 Volume 1
Infragistics continues to offer the tools to create rich, immersive web experiences
PRINCETON, N.J. and ELSTREE, United Kingdom, Feb. 19 -- Infragistics, the world leader in presentation layer development tools, announced today the immediate availability of Infragistics NetAdvantage for .NET 2008 Volume 1, a complete set of user interface components which feature full compatibility with Visual Studio 2008. This new release includes toolsets for both ASP.NET and Windows Forms and gives developers the tools to create compelling user experiences in line-of-business applications targeting the desktop and on the web. NetAdvantage for .NET 2008 Volume 1 marks the debut of three new components in NetAdvantage for ASP.NET, built on Infragistics' new framework, called Aikido, which will mean faster, lighter and better-performing controls.

NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 8.1 is the next generation of the product built from the ground up on Microsoft's ASP.NET AJAX Framework to leverage modern web development technologies. Infragistics has built new components expressly for the new architecture. WebDialogWindow replicates the functionality of a traditional standard Windows Forms dialog window; WebImageViewer allows developers to easily add image display and scrolling capabilities to their web applications; and the WebSplitter simulates the familiar splitter user interface found in many modern Smart Client applications and allows an end user to control the layout of their workspace. The WebData Grid is still available as a CTP (Community Technology Preview.)

Infragistics will also release TestAdvantage 2008 volume 1 within 30 days which will have full parity with NetAdvantage for Windows Forms 2008.1. TestAdvantage enables automated testing of the presentation layer, allowing testers to fully regression test Windows(R) Forms applications with user interfaces developed using Infragistics NetAdvantage for Windows Forms controls.
