Product Manager Software Provides Quick Palletizing Changeover
Columbia Machine's new Product Manager Software for palletizers provides a graphical means to manage product codes, plus a database to store patterns for running multiple products on the same machine.
The Product Manager is designed to simplify the modification, adjustment or addition of new configurations without the need to connect the PLC to a laptop computer, thus reducing maintenance calls.
It is ideally suited for: applications that frequently alter product configurations due to changing products or case sizes; plants that require a lot of VFD's to run product configurations due to varying product sizes or weights; and plants that deal strictly with bar codes or product codes.
This software allows the same pattern configuration to be used for several products, making it easier for the palletizer operator to run different products. It can be installed on either the control panel or operator station for easy access. Included in the program are help screens to explain each field and a pattern data entry screen to allow the operator to program new patterns when necessary.
