COADE Announces CADWorx® fieldPipe 2008 for Laser-Driven 3D Plant Design
HOUSTON, TEXAS - July 23, 2007 - COADE announced today the release of CADWorx fieldPipe 2008, an enhanced edition of the package that integrates CADWorx Plant Professional from COADE with fieldPipe for Leica fieldPro to produce AutoCAD-based, laser-precise 3D models, site designs, spool drawings and design verification from any field site. This new release links design information directly to process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's), which allows users to see components existing in the P&ID and to select and place those components directly into the model, automatically linking the two. The plant designer may also choose to fast track the modeling process, linking the placed items at a later date, thus offering the user full flexibility in the use of this capability. CADWorx fieldPipe 2008 also expands capabilities for producing automatic isometrics by incorporating ISOGEN's latest features.
"CADWorx fieldPipe's big advantage is that the point-and shoot laser sends the data directly into the CADWorx plant design program for 3D modeling at any field location," explained Vornel Walker, manager of Marketing and Partner Development at COADE. "So, when you're done surveying, the 3D model is completed. It's not only faster, easier and safer, the designer also knows the drawings are complete and accurate before even leaving the site," Walker added.
