At a glance IBM LoadLeveler for Linux allows users to run more jobs in less time by matching processing needs with the available resources. LoadLeveler offers: An easy-to-use GUI that enables users and administrators to build, submit, and prioritize jobs, and to view the status of jobs and machines online. Controls and accounting mechanisms that enable users to limit jobs to specific resources and to track and adjust job accounting parameters. Ability to handle network and system outages without losing information because its extensive failover and self-repair capabilities provide stability, reliability, and scalability. An API that allows the end user to plug in their own scheduler, to enable an alternate scheduling algorithm and providing flexibility. LoadLeveler for Linux supports an interoperable environment with LoadLeveler for AIX 5L. When the central manager runs on AIX 5L, both AIX 5L and Linux nodes can be mixed within the same cluster.
