Merrill Lextranet 5.4 Features More Than 100 Enhancements, Including Improved Workflow and Auditing
ST. PAUL, Minn., July 26 -- Merrill Corporation, a leading global provider of technology-enabled services for the legal, financial, real estate and other corporate markets, today announced the release of Merrill Lextranet version 5.4, the most powerful and versatile edition of its case management system to date.
The Merrill Lextranet case management system provides a secure, collaborative online environment for multiple parties to quickly search, organize, evaluate and share litigation-related information throughout the case lifecycle, accessible from any location via a browser-based interface. Version 5.4 features more than 100 enhancements over previous editions and expands functionality in critical areas such as workflow management, audit capabilities and security.
"Now more than ever, Merrill Lextranet enables fast, efficient case management," said Al McNee, President, Sales, Merrill Legal Solutions. "Version 5.4 combines the best features of Lextranet and Merrill Discovery Navigator(R), leveraging electronic data discovery and advanced document management for effective case support. We listen intently to what our customers are telling us, and the latest improvements are a result of their feedback."
Legal teams are often called upon to review hundreds of thousands of documents within strict time frames. Merrill Lextranet 5.4 addresses the many challenges related to complex document reviews.
The Workflow Manager enables legal teams to create sophisticated document flows and then visualize the rules through a data flow diagram. Users can map out the distribution of documents, set up rules to move the documents among the coding teams and push responsive documents to a timely and defensible production.
Several other new features include an automated Search and Redact tool that reduces time for redaction, an innovative LDocs feature that provides easier collaboration and creates documents faster, and an inline text editor that enables text to be seamlessly transferred to and from Microsoft Word.
In addition, Merrill Lextranet 5.4 Audit Tools allow enhanced tracking of user activity and document creation, views, edits, moves, reviews and more. Legal teams can instantly determine document status and generate customized audit reports.
Merrill Lextranet 5.4 is part of Merrill's comprehensive suite of litigation support services and leverages its vast network of regional processing centers, which are fully integrated to accommodate speedy, high-quality data transfer. This and other Merrill legal solutions support customers at every stage of the litigation lifecycle-from document creation and review to production and archiving.
