ComponentOne® Launches Studio Enterprise(TM) for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 -- New Suite of Components Simplify Design Time Development and Extend the Power of Visual Studio 2005

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 7 / -- ComponentOne today launched ComponentOne Studio Enterprise for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. This new release includes over 25 products compiled natively for Visual Studio 2005 and delivers countless product enhancements focused on simplifying the design-time experience.

ComponentOne Studio Enterprise is one of the largest and most complete component toolset for developing all layers of Windows, Web, and Mobile applications. Studio Enterprise, exclusively engineered for Visual Studio 2005, supports the new features available with Visual Studio 2005 and extends the power of this revolutionary new development environment at not only the presentation layer, but also all layers of application development including the data, reporting, and transformation layers.

"We have reached our goal to be one of the first component vendors to provide customers with a complete and innovative toolset for Visual Studio 2005," said Gustavo Eydelsteyn, managing director of ComponentOne. "Our components for the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, combined with the power of Visual Studio 2005, provide any level of .NET technology developer with the most simplified and streamlined design-time application development experience ever."

"Microsoft is excited that ComponentOne has released Studio Enterprise for Visual Studio 2005," said Nick Abbott, group manager of the .NET Developer Product Marketing Group at Microsoft Corp. "Its enhanced design-time experience will help make it easier for our mutual customers to create applications that enhance the user experience on the .NET Framework 2.0."

Simplifying the Design-Time Experience
ComponentOne Chart for .NET and True DBGrid for .NET have been updated with unique designers and wizards allowing developers to visually access complex functionality and quickly integrate the features into applications. The new designers reduce the time needed to learn component object models and allow developers to focus on application development, putting the power of the components at their fingertips.

Leveraging the Unique New Features
Studio Enterprise tools include integration with new Visual Studio 2005 Windows Forms features including Smart Tags, Snap Lines, data binding, GDI+ text, and Managed Themes. The new .NET Framework 2.0 Web Forms components fully support ASP.NET 2.0 features including Smart Tags, data binding, resourced-based scripts and images, and ASP.NET 2.0 Themes.

Extending the Power of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
New products engineered exclusively for the .NET Framework 2.0 have been added to Studio Enterprise, extending the power of Visual Studio 2005 by providing developers with unique features and functionality not available with the in-the-box tools. New products include:

ComponentOne ADO.NET DataExtender(TM): an extension for ADO.NET 2.0 that simplifies data modeling and programming for Windows Forms applications.

ComponentOne Preview(TM) for .NET: a completely re-engineered version of Preview for .NET that adds sophisticated printing and print preview capabilities to Windows Forms applications. This new version features an enhanced object model, a more robust and modular design, improved performance, and more.

ComponentOne WebMenus and WebBars(TM) for ASP.NET: a new version of the existing suite of user-interface and navigational tools. This new version adds new C1WebTreeView and C1WebTabStrip components, functionality not available in-the-box with Visual Studio 2005, plus other enhancements improving the design-time experience.

"I heavily use ComponentOne's Studio Enterprise for Visual Studio 2005 components, and they save me tons of time and just simply work. When I run into complex problems, I turn to my ComponentOne Studio Enterprise toolbox," said Ken Spencer, Owner of 32X, LLC and Microsoft Regional Director. "For instance, I was working on our 32X Auditing System for Sarbanes-Oxley and other processes that required using Microsoft Excel without the Excel Interop object model. Implementing a solution took only 30 minutes from the time I discovered I had the ComponentOne XLS for .NET component to completion. That's power!"
