NorthStar Release Extends Enterprise Wealth Management Capabilities

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 15 // -- NorthStar, a leading provider of enterprise-class wealth management software solutions to the financial services industry, announced the general availability of NorthStar 4.5. This release increases the client-driven best practice functionality in NorthStar's five solutions, and is deployed both on-premise and on-demand.

More Holistic Client Wealth Management

Wealth Managers can now get an increasingly holistic view of their client's financial picture with access to more comprehensive balance sheets and net-worth statements. This functionality supplements NorthStar's current client household information, portfolio composition, portfolio evaluation, and client advisory dashboards. To ensure an accurate view of all types of assets, liabilities and operational cash, NorthStar 4.5 supports the ability to import external holdings from most portfolio management systems or downloads from web sites. In addition, NorthStar 4.5 helps advisors get an entire snapshot of client third-party relationships such as attorneys, custodians, CPAs, etc., dramatically reducing the time it takes to locate information about the roles key relationships play for their clients.

Scalable Reporting Support

NorthStar 4.5 is the first enterprise wealth management solution to provide self-service reporting, enabling organizations to create and administer custom product classifications. Firms can now render balance sheets and other key holdings reports for both prospects and existing clients using their own asset and liability classifications. As a result, the new reports are flexible enough to meet the needs of even large organizations without requiring elaborate or expensive customizations. For instance, NorthStar 4.5 can now run in a clustered WebLogic Server environment, which improves application availability and performance. Plus, NorthStar now offers automatic single sign-on capabilities for enterprise users to ensure faster, seamless application access. NorthStar also improves application availability by automatically monitoring the presentation generation processes and self-correcting as necessary, allowing advisors to focus on building their business of high net worth prospects without worrying about the reliability of their proposal generation tools.
