DDC Announces Expanded dataMARS Support for Use with Its 1553/429 Avionics USB Devices!

15/5/2008

Bohemia, New York (May 2008) Data Device Corporation (DDC) introduces an updated version of its dataMARS software package for use with the BU-65590/91U MIL-STD-1553/ARINC429 USB Devices for avionics bus monitoring and post-analysis. "The pairing of the BU-65590/91U and dataMARS Software Analysis suite creates a powerful combination for portable and lab avionics bus analysis and flight line recording", states Mike Hegarty, DDC's MIL-STD-1553 Marketing Manager.

dataMARS provides powerful monitoring capability through real-time displays and triggers, and extensive post-analysis capability utilizing recorded data replay, reports, and search functionality. Users can import Interface Control Documents (ICD) allowing automatic, real-time conversions of raw data to applicable engineering units, resulting in fast, accurate, and extensive numerical and graphical views of communication data. Applications include bus or network analysis, automatic test equipment, production testing, systems integration, troubleshooting, and data recording.

The BU-65590U is the perfect COTS solution for both MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429 data bus systems. Its small size, light weight, and durable construction make the BU-65590U an ideal common tool for use in field service, flight line test equipment, and flight instrumentation applications, while the USB interface renders it optimal for use with desktop, laptop, or tablet computers. The BU-65591U provides the same exact capabilities in a package suitable for lab applications. Both devices provide two dual-redundant MIL-STD-1553 channels, four ARINC 429 receive channels, two ARINC 429 transmit channels, an IRIG-B time synchronization input, and seven user-programmable Digital I/O's.

Data Device Corporation (DDC) is recognized as a leading international supplier of high-reliability data interface products for military and commercial aerospace applications for over 40 years and MIL-STD-1553 products for more than 25 years. DDC's broad product line consists of advanced data bus technology for high speed Ethernet and Fibre Channel networks, MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429 data bus boards/components, synchro/resolver technologies, and solid state power controllers and motor drives. The company's design and manufacturing facility is located in Bohemia, N.Y
