NCCS Announces Plans to Release NCL V9.3



Newport Beach, California (July, 2003)-NCCS announces plans to release NCL V9.3, the latest version of its powerful multi-axis machining software. NCL V9.3 includes dozens of new productivity boosting enhancements that enable the rapid creation of tool paths to machine complex parts.

o Recognizes stock and part geometry
o Stock model can be included with the model to be machined or the system will automatically calculate a contour or rectangular stock model
o The user can specify the bottom and top levels or the system will automatically calculate the extent of the area to machine
o Machine the entire model or only a selected portion of the model
o Machine the model from any tool axis orientation
o The tool path is fully associative - simply open a new model containing engineering changes and regenerate the tool path
o The roughing parameters can be saved as a template that can be used to quickly machine similar components

New high-production pocketing easily generates efficient tool paths
o Easy selection of pocket and island boundaries gives the user total control of what to machine
o Machine an unlimited number of specific pockets in a single visit to the pocket form
o Simply click a face to machine an entire pocket
o Quick and easy access to machining parameters
o Machine all pockets at a constant z-level or machine to depth one pocket at a time

Creation of opposite hand parts made simple
o Mirror the part and simply reapply automated tool paths
o Multi-axis sequential tool paths can be automatically reversed to retain original cut direction, including feeds and cutter compensation conditions
