Emerson Improves Micro Motion® ProLink® II Software for Easier Configuration of Micro Motion Coriolis Flowmeters



Boulder, Colorado. -- (July 17, 2003) Emerson Process Management has made the configuration of its Micro Motion® transmitters easier with the release of a new version of Micro Motion ProLink® II configuration software, available July 2003. Compatible with all Micro Motion transmitters, Micro Motion ProLink II software can now communicate using either HART® or Modbus protocols.

The addition of the HART protocol to Micro Motion ProLink II software helps customers more easily configure their Micro Motion transmitters. Supporting the maintenance efficiency advances of Emerson's PlantWeb digital plant architecture, this new software version also enables customers to more easily diagnose process or flowmeter issues.

Using Micro Motion ProLink II software on a Windows 98 or Windows XP-based computer, users can:
o Configure transmitter parameters
o Diagnose meter or process issues
o Trend process variables
o Set advanced transmitter functions such as enhanced density curves (eg. Brix, % concentration, etc.)
