Four Rivers Software Announces Dispatch Functionality Added to TMS

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 7 /-- Four Rivers Software Systems, Inc., the provider of TMS, the leading maintenance management software (EAM/CMMS) system for the healthcare industry, announces the availability of the TMS Dispatch Module.

The TMS Dispatch Module provides a web-based, integrated desktop for the efficient assignment of incoming service requests to the appropriate resource. The main panel consists of a dispatch queue with selectable views and a dashboard. The panel is configurable, allowing the administrator to select viewable fields, required fields and the queries presented in the dashboard section.

With TMS, the dispatch queue could contain work orders from a variety of sources including requests made by hospital personnel via the hospital Intranet (TMS Web Request), requests from the Hospital Information System (TMS HIS Interface) and requests entered by technicians in the field (TMS Mobile). The TMS Dispatch Module also has a work order creation panel for service requests taken over the phone.

Within TMS Dispatch, the Assignment Wizard simplifies the assignment process with filters by skill and asset contact. This quickly focuses the dispatcher on only those resources that are qualified to handle the work required. The Check Availability feature ensures that the resource to be assigned is available to handle the request.

The dispatcher has the option to page the resource automatically when the request is assigned. If the resource is using TMS Mobile, they will receive notification on their pocket PC that a new work order was assigned to them.

"The trend we are seeing, in our customer base of over 1,000 US hospitals, is a move to a one call philosophy. Regardless of the service requested, a centralized dispatch or call center receives and tracks the request, and dispatches the proper resources to satisfy the request. The Dispatch Module was developed with this in mind. It is flexible by design and can be configured to optimize the dispatch process of any healthcare organization," said Henry Wilde, President & CEO, Four Rivers Software Systems, Inc.
