Emerson's New Software Integrates Machinery Health Into Unified Asset Optimization Offering
Machinery Health Manager v4.81 works in harmony with Emerson's new AMS(TM) Suite: Asset Portal.
KNOXVILLE, TENN (November 25, 2003) - Emerson Process Management today announced an enhanced version of AMS(TM) Suite: Machinery Health Manager software that provides comprehensive health analysis of mechanical equipment. The new software uses technologies including online and portable vibration, oil analysis and infrared thermography to support optimum maintenance decisions and maximum plant availability.
AMS Machinery Manager version 4.81 (previously known as RBMware) is fully integrated with Emerson's new AMS Suite: Asset Portal that unifies data on the condition of mechanical equipment, process equipment, instruments and valves, and automates the flow of information to those who run the business. Through the AMS Asset Portal, managers can view current and historical data on the condition of their assets to expedite decision-making.
The enhanced AMS Machinery Manager also incorporates new tools for vibration analysis and oil analysis by turning data into valuable information regarding the health of plant machinery. Features of the updated software include support for the new 2130 RBMConsultant PRO Analyzer with a new communication program for job-based data for the advanced cross channel application; a new vibration analyst report module; and the addition of OPC tags within the 4500 Series online vibration monitor.
The new AMS Suite: Asset Portal leverages the latest in web technology, making asset information from multiple plant locations easily accessible via the intranet.
