eSight DFM provides an overview of the entire design-to-build process, placing particular focus on manufacturability for assembly. eSight DFM operates by reading and optimizing native ECAD data with RSI's proprietary and popular CAMCAD(TM) application. eSight Scripter(TM) provides a development tool for configuring expert, rules-driven tests of the ECAD data. These tests are then executed with the ECAD files. eSight assesses the critical relationships of the design and layout for assembly requirements. It can perform hundreds of tests for such applications as solder mask impingement, component keep-out areas, fiducials clearance or via-to-edge features and more. These test results can be viewed collaboratively with eSight Explorer(TM). This free viewer allows users to view results and share comments. An optional design-for-test (DFT) module is also available to perform enhanced testability tests.
