ACP Announces Enterprise Versions of its ThinManager Software
Allows unlimited number of ACP Enabled Thin Clients
Alpharetta, GA - May 16, 2003 - ACP (Automation Control Products, Alpharetta, GA) announced today a plan to help customers migrate from their existing "Plant Floor" Thin Client systems to much larger "Company Wide" Thin Client networks through the use of four new Enterprise Software products.
The new Thin Client management software has all of the capabilities of ACP's award winning ThinManager software except that it allows unlimited connections by any ACP Enabled Thin Client. This includes ACP Enabled industrial grade and office grade Thin Clients. To accommodate all customers, the Enterprise version can be ordered in one of four different levels:
Enterprise Server
Designed for the smaller site, Enterprise Server provides the ability to install ThinManager on up to two servers (usually a primary and a backup) at a single location. Each server will then allow an unlimited number of ACP Enabled Thin Clients to connect to various Microsoft Terminal Servers throughout the facility.
Enterprise Site
Enterprise Site differs from Enterprise Server in that it allows for the installation of an unlimited number of ThinManager Servers as well as an unlimited number of Thin Clients at one physical location.
Enterprise Global
Many companies with multiple sites will want to consider moving up to the Enterprise Global version of ACP's ThinManager software. With this version, the customer can install an unlimited number of ACP Enabled Thin Clients company wide, installing ACP's ThinManager at as many locations as needed.
Enterprise Global Plus
Just like the Enterprise Global version, Enterprise Global Plus allows the distribution of an unlimited number of ACP Enabled Thin Clients and ThinManager Servers throughout the entire organization. But this version also includes the ability to add any of the optional ACP Thin Client modules along with the Thin Clients at no additional cost. This includes such modules as ACP's Instant Failover module, the Shared Keyboard and Mouse module, and the High-Speed Serial module.
