SkipJam Announces Homeview(TM) For SkipJam Imedia

Watch, Monitor and Control Home AV Systems from Anywhere in the World

Patent-Pending Technology Measures Network Bandwidth & Adjusts for Optimal Viewing

January 19, 2005, Port Chester, NY - SkipJam Corp., a leading provider of home media networking solutions, announced today SkipJam HomeView for iMedia. HomeView lets SkipJam iMedia users watch, monitor and control their AV systems from anywhere in the world. Users can access their networked multimedia home through any broadband connection and watch their home TVs, security cameras, PVRs and any other live or recorded media on a "live basis."

SkipJam's HomeView technology offers users remote access and control of their home systems for security monitoring and TV-From-Home applications. HomeView uses SkipJam's patent-pending technology to automatically measure available network bandwidth and adjust signal quality for optimal viewing. Images and sounds are sent through the Internet using cutting-edge MPEG-4 Compression. Control signals are sent back to the SkipJam iMedia Home Network, which emits IR, DLNA, uPnP or serial commands to attached devices, allowing users to play, pause, change channels and directly control the devices they are viewing.

HomeView also automatically converts existing video recordings to a bit rate appropriate for remote viewing so that users can view in real-time recordings made of TV shows or security devices.

"SkipJam's iMedia platform is an extremely powerful and flexible multimedia home control and distribution system," said Michael Spilo, CEO of SkipJam. "Over the next few months we plan to continue to tap this power to provide our users with a variety of useful new features."

SkipJam's HomeView will be available to SkipJam owners at no additional charge. HomeView can be downloaded as an update to existing iMedia installations. SkipJam iMedia Center is priced at $799, SkipJam iMedia Player at $499, SkipJam iMedia Audio Player at $299, and SkipJam Audio Player Pro at $499 (estimated street prices).
