Version 1.0.1 Released PLOSSYS® OCON for Operating and Administration
The document output management system PLOSSYS® netdome is distributed in the latest version 4.1.2 together with the new release of the operating and administration application OCON.
What is new? Besides many detailed improvements, these features are the highlights:
Output preview: View of the document "what you see is what you get", that menas, including rotation, flagpage, stamps etc.
Thumbnail preview: View of thumbnails of selected jobs for "quick overview".
Multiserver support: Now the PLOSSYS netdome server can be selected (if there are more configured) for all views. There can be more than one view at a time for different servers. The state field on the bottom left show all PLOSSYS® netdome servers via scroll bar. A click on the state field opens a top level window, in which the states of all PLOSSYS® netdome servers are displayed in one chart.
Copy of output devices: Now an inquiry starts, whether configuration files should be copied.
New user type MiniOperator: Has similar characteristics like "operator", but is not able to fulfil the administrative functions (configure devices, copy, edit, delete).
Redirect output devices: output devices can be redirected by drag and drop.
Mass modification of jobs: The parameter of several jobs can be changed within one single dialog. Depending on the selection of one single or more objects, the normal or the mass modification dialog appears.
Pool output devices: The members of an output device pool are displays in the tree as sub-components of the pool output device.
Protocol display: In the protocol display, three different levels can be selected: "show all", "show only warnings and errors", "show only errors".
Ressource demands: The storage requirements was reduced about 30 to 40 per cent on the server and 20 to 30 per cent on the client. The performance of the PLOSSYS ® OCON server war significantly improved. The actualisation of data on the environment was increased.
The user interface is delivered as standard in the version OCON and is part of the server package whithout charge. Many additional services and enhanced functions can be activated and be used with the optional professional version OCON+.
The up to now traded operating tool ICON is still available and can be installed alternativeley. The upgrade from ICON to OCON is free of charge for all PLOSSYS netdome customers with maintenance contract.
