RESX V7.0 Increases Policy and Meetings Management Flexibility
Includes Additional Web 2.0 Functionality to Automate and Enhance Communications with Travelers
ATLANTA, June 11 -- TRX, Inc. (NASDAQ:TRXI), a global technology company that develops and hosts software applications to process data records and automate manual processes, today announced the release of RESX v7.0, which includes new communication tools and several policy enhancements designed to give corporate administrators more flexibility managing corporate travel policy.
RESX is a leading online booking tool allowing corporate travelers to create policy-compliant and on-budget travel reservations via a hosted Web interface. TRX continues to expand the features and functionality of RESX, while making it simpler for users to research and finalize reservations.
RESX v7.0 incorporates key Web 2.0 features to provide users with a customizable login page designed to meet customization and communication needs. The new login page features RSS news feeds and enhanced flight statistics to keep travelers informed. In addition, the RESX v7.0 enables travel managers to create blogs, allowing travelers within the same company to share travel experiences.

RESX v7.0 also supports small to mid-level meetings management. In a recent "Groups and Meetings Analyst Briefing," PhoCusWright reported that the majority of meetings involve less than 50 attendees. RESX's variable policy management feature provides clients with the capabilities to support meetings of this size and greater by allowing travelers to book travel under an alternative set of travel polices deployed by travel managers. Through the use of prompts and customized text entries, travelers can register for meeting- related events as well as secure travel reservations. Travel and meeting managers are able to capture the related data enabling them to plan and execute accordingly.
Finally, the latest RESX release creates a platform for expense management integration with the launch of an expense interface layer. The platform will allow recently announced expense management partners, Gelco and DATABASICS, to connect to RESX via Web Services. Both Gelco and DATABASICS plan to finalize integration with RESX later this month.
