New Software Product Development Platform Accelerates Distributed Agile Software Development

VIENNA, Va., Sept. 25 // -- Today, GlobalLogic, a leading provider of global outsourced product development services, announced the availability of the Velocity Platform. Combining a proven distributed Agile method (the Velocity Method) with state-of-the-art tools, the Velocity Platform lets software product companies rapidly create high-quality products using geographically distributed teams. In a related announcement today, Induslogic announced it is merging with Bonus Technology, a New Jersey-based software engineering services company with significant operations in the Ukraine. In addition, Induslogic unveiled its new name GlobalLogic.

The Velocity Method is a blueprint of proven processes and best practices that apply Agile principles across the complete software product lifecycle. GlobalLogic uses this blueprint to establish and continuously evolve each team's work practices to create agile teams that can be effectively distributed. As a result, teams using the Velocity Method have far greater visibility and produce higher quality products without incurring any additional overhead.

The Velocity Platform is an integrated combination of applications and repositories that makes deployment of the Velocity Method as simple and automated as possible. A result of the integration of best-of-breed open source and commercial software, such as Artifact's Lighthouse(TM) and Atlassian's Confluence(TM), the Velocity Platform enables distributed teams to collaboratively define, estimate, automate, and measure both assets and the work needed to create great software products. Cutting-edge security measures are used to protect the intellectual property of GlobalLogic clients.

Mark Wesker, CEO of Artifact, said, "We're delighted that our Lighthouse solution is part of GlobalLogic's Velocity Platform. Lighthouse is an on- demand system that brings all software project information together to help better manage risk and objectively measure performance and productivity." Wesker added, "increasingly management needs extreme visibility into rapidly distributed teams, and the combination of Artifact's Lighthouse and GlobalLogic's Velocity is a powerful combination that forward-looking software product companies will find hard to resist."

"Rivermine has been working with the Velocity Platform for three months, and we've already measured an improvement in both quality and productivity," said Mark Madsen, vice president of engineering for Rivermine.

The Velocity Platform is available exclusively through GlobalLogic and is immediately available on both hosted and installed plans.
