Little Neck, NY, January 13, 2004 -- Leviton Manufacturing Company has enhanced its line of Decora® Snap-on Wallplates with the industry's first subplate that conveniently fits onto a designer-style wiring device's mounting screws. The revolutionary new design reduces installation time by eliminating the need to use separate screws to attach the subplate to the wiring device.
The new design makes it faster, easier and more convenient for contractors and DIY'ers to "finish off" the installation of a designer-style wiring device with a sleek Snap-On Wallplate. Once the wallplate is positioned over the subplate, it manually ratchets into place, saving time and sparing the nuisance of having to install small screws that can be dropped and misplaced.
