SMART to Showcase Innovative Products at GITEX 2006

New SMART Board 600i interactive whiteboard makes its first appearance in the Middle East

Dubai, UAE - November 14, 2006 - SMART Technologies Inc, announces its participation in the forthcoming Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX). SMART will be represented by Intmark Distribution, its regional distributor. GITEX Dubai 2006 will take place at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 18 to 22.

o Sympodium ID350 and 370 interactive pen displays - Offering the quality, durability and functionality of all of SMART's interactive products, the new ID350 and ID370 feature a sleek, bezel-less writing surface, two high-speed USB hubs, more functionality and the latest release of SMART Board software. Like their predecessor, the ID250, both models are easy-to-use presentation tools that enhance digital information sharing in teaching, training and meeting environments. o SynchronEyes classroom management software 6.0 - SynchronEyes software helps teachers provide both whole-class and one-to-one instruction directly from their desktops and keep students on task. Features include the ability to restrict Internet access or block applications such as games or calculators. The enhanced wireless support feature ensures teachers can monitor and control students from anywhere on the network. o Bridgit conferencing software 3.0 - This is a real-time conferencing service that enables desktop sharing, including annotation and desktop video, from anywhere in the world.
